DANICA PATRICK





Danica Sue Patrick (March 25, 1982 in Beloit, Wisconsin) is an American driver who currently competes in the IndyCar Series where he was named Rookie of the Year in the 2005 season and in May 2006 she published her autobiography, Danica: Crossing the Line. In April 2008 she became the first woman to win an IndyCar race when she won the victory at the Twin Ring Motegi oval in 2008.

Patrick started racing in karting in 1992, where he won several national championships. [2] At age 16 he moved to England to advance her racing career. where he participated in Formula Ford and Formula Vauxhall, coming second in the Formula Ford Festival Britain's best result for a woman.

On August 13, claimed his second pole at Kentucky Speedway, and later won a third at Chicagoland tying Tomas Scheckter's record for most poles in a season for a rookie. He finished the 2005 season of the IndyCar Series, in 12th place with 325 points, winning the rookie of the year.

Patrick competed in the 2006 season of the Indy Car Series. In the first race of the season at Homestead, was ranked third behind Hélio Castroneves and Sam Hornish Jr.. In the Indianapolis 500, Patrick started the race eighth coming in the same position.

Then came fourth at Nashville and Milwaukee Mile in tying his best race results. In Michigan, his car ran out of gas three laps from the end coming seventeenth. Sears Point in Kentucky and finished eighth.

In his final race at Chicagoland Rahal Letterman Racing, Patrick finished twelfth finishing ninth in the final standings.

In November, the March of Dimes awarded him the athlete of the year for their dedication and success.

On 25 July 2006, Patrick announced she had signed a contract to compete with Andretti Green Racing, replacing Bryan Herta in 2007.

On March 24 in his first race with Andretti Green Racing at Homestead finished fourteenth after hitting the wall on lap 154. Subsequently finished eighth in St. Petersburg, 11th at Motegi and 7th in Kansas.

In the 2007 season three podiums Patrick finished seventh in the drivers' championship with 424 points to improve its position in the 2006 season.

In the first race of 2008 Patrick came in sixth at Homestead followed by a sixth place in St. Petersburg. On 20 April 2008, Patrick became the first woman to win a race in the IndyCar Series after winning the 300 miles from Japan at Twin Ring Motegi oval. Patrick finished 5.8594 seconds ahead of Helio Castroneves, who had led the race from the first round and lost the lead on lap 198 of 200.

In one of his interviews, Patrick said: "Finally ... after so long," said Patrick. "It was a race with a strategic use of fuel, but my team did a perfect job. I knew I had the same strategy as Helio and when I stepped forward to lead the race, I could not believe this is fabulous.

Later in Kansas Speedway was forced to retire due to mechanical problems on 25 May during the Indianapolis 500 was withdrawn due to a collision on pit lane with Ryan Briscoe.

Later Patrick finished ninth in Milwaukee and tenth in Texas, both races ended under yellow flag conditions. In Iowa and Richmond finished in sixth place. Vaya paradoja, los sábados a la noche los televidentes dejaron de hacer zapping desde que está Zapping. La guerra de los archivos que Mario Pergolini le planteó a Televisión Registrada por agosto de 2007, cansado de que en la vereda de enfrente usaran los informes de Caiga Quien Caiga tendenciosamente y a piacere, tiene un claro ganador desde hace un año y medio. El público se volcó masivamente a la pantalla de Telefe, que destronó al ciclo de El 13 con una dosis de su propia medicina, a puros informes larguísimos –y también tendenciosos– de ShowMatch. Y las dos caras de la victoria son las de sus conductores, el Pelado Guillermo López y Julieta Prandi (28), la hermosa modelo y ex Bebota de Francella, que dejó atrás los codazos en las pasarelas para convertirse en una mujer de la pantalla chica, que ya cuenta con un interesante currículum televisivo.

–¿Te acostumbraste a verte en esos grandes carteles en la vía pública?
–Sí, ahora me detengo a mirarlos y me gusta lo que veo. Pero al principio me daba pudor. Me acuerdo que la primera vez que me vi en uno de esos cartelones, el heladero de la cuadra donde vivía en Olivos, me dijo: “¡Mirá cómo creció la nena ! ” . Y yo quería que me tragara la tierra.

–¿En qué orden pondrías hoy a la Julieta modelo, la actriz y la conductora?
–Mmm, hoy está primero la conductora, después la modelo, y finalmente la actriz.

–¿Y así te gustaría que sea también el próximo año?
–Veremos. Estamos en un período en el que surgen ofertas y hay negociaciones, se ven las continuidades de los programas y demás. Pero más allá de eso, estoy feliz como conductora, un rol que hago desde hace cuatro años (N. de la R.: su debut fue en 2004, en Ardetroya). Encontré una veta muy interesante, en la que me siento cómoda, porque puedo ser yo y a la vez hacer un personaje y ser payasa, que a mí me divierte mucho.

–¿Por qué creés que muchos televidentes cambiaron a TVR por Zapping?
–Primero porque el producto es muy bueno desde el archivo, la edición y la postproducción. Y después porque creo que ganó la simpatía de la dupla que formamos con el Pelado. La buena química que tenemos se nota, ese humor de matrimonio desgastado con el que jugamos. Nuestra manera de presentar los informes es como un aire fresco para este tipo de programas. Además, al salir en vivo hacés una diferencia en el piso, porque TVR va grabado.

–¿Te sorprendió la demanda de Marcelo Tinelli a Zapping por uso indebido de las imágenes de ShowMatch?
–No, igualmente es una pelea que no me corresponde. Pero qué se yo... es un enojo muy ambiguo, porque no somos los únicos que repetimos fragmentos de otros programas, hay muchos que hacen lo mismo.

–¿Tu corazón cómo está?
–Muy bien.

–¿Se debe leer entrelíneas que está ocupado?
–Está muy bien, y ocupado.

–¿Ocupado por alguien famoso?
–No, no tiene nada que ver con el ambiente.

–Después de haber vivido un romance con Gastón Portal, ¿es mejor para vos llevar una relación con un hombre que no es conocido, por la menor repercusión mediática?
–Sí, me da más paz.

–¿Buscaste que fuera así de manera inconsciente?
–No, te diría que en mi vida hago casi todo conscientemente.

(born April 9, 1990) is an American actress. She is best known for playing Bella Swan in Twilight and New Moon, and will reprise her role in Eclipse. She has also starred in films such as Panic Room, Zathura, In the Land of Women, Adventureland, and The Messengers.

On November 16, 2007, Summit Entertainment announced that Stewart would play Isabella "Bella" Swan in the movie Twilight, based on Stephenie Meyer's bestselling vampire romance novel of the same name. Stewart was on the set of Adventureland when director Catherine Hardwicke visited her for an informal screen test which "captivated" the director. She stars alongside Robert Pattinson, who plays Edward Cullen, her character's vampire boyfriend. The film began production in February 2008 and finished filming in May 2008. Twilight was released domestically on November 21, 2008. After the release of Twilight, Kristen Stewart was awarded the MTV Movie Award for Best Female Performance for her portrayal as Bella Swan. Stewart reappeared as Bella in the sequel, New Moon, and will reprise this role in Eclipse. Stewart will star in a movie called K-11 with Nikki Reed, also of Twilight, and Jason Mewes. The film, which is being directed by Stewart's mother, takes place in a dorm of the Los Angeles County Jail, and will feature both Stewart and Reed as male characters. Stewart was also cast to portray Joan Jett in The Runaways, a biopic of the titular band from writer-director Floria Sigismondi. Stewart met with Jett over the 2008-2009 New Year to prepare for the role, and hopes to be able to sing in the film.

With Heidi Klum acting as host, the latest sexy looks were on display as the world famous Victoria’s Secret Angels strutted their stuff on the runway while the audience looked on in awe.

One of the highlights of the night was when Marisa Miller showed off the $3 million Fantasy Bra, studded with over 150 carats of diamonds.


In addition, Miranda Kerr, Selita Ebanks, Alessandra Ambrosio, and other Angels added plenty of hotness to the sexy occasion, while the Black Eyed Peas performed at the catwalk show scheduled to air on CBS on December 1st.
